The Trent RDSU Conference Scheme has been established to help support conference facilitation by NHS staff that will, in turn promote Trent RDSU and build research capacity.
| Funding of up to £500 per event will be considered |
The criteria for funding include:
- The conference is primarily research based. This may entail the presentation of research findings, or research capacity building awareness/education.
- The conference materials will display the Trent RDSU logo and recognise that the conference has been financially supported by Trent RDSU.
- The conference materials are to include Trent RDSU publicity materials.
- Trent RDSU will not usually participate in any aspect of the conference administration.
- The conference is held in the Trent RDSU geographical area.
- Applicants must be employed by NHS or Social Services bodies within the counties of Derbyshire; Leicestershire; Nottinghamshire; Lincolnshire; Northamptonshire; Rutland and South Yorkshire.
- The conference timetable should include, if appropriate, the opportunity for a presentation or workshop to be run by a member of the Trent RDSU.
Awards will be made on a competitive basis. The quality of the bid and organisation of the conference will be key to a successful bid, paying particular attention to how the conference can facilitate research capacity development. Additionally, priority will be given to those events which coincide with NHS Research Priorities and/or Trent RDSU research themes. Administration of the conference award:
- Awards will be paid on the completion of a single invoice.
- Applicants may be required to participate in the evaluation process to ascertain how the money was spent
