Trent RDSU covers the area comprising the former Trent Health Region and Northamptonshire. Currently, there are 15 Primary Care Trusts, 21 NHS Trusts and 2 Ambulance Trusts within the area. Trent RDSU has centres in Leicester, Nottingham, and Sheffield and supports all in its area involved in research in health and health-related social care, although increasingly the RDSU is responding to requests for support from staff outside the area.  The broad catchment area of each site is shown on the map below.  However, NHS and social services staff are free to use the RDSU site of their choice in order to access the services they require, having regard to the different skills and expertise available across the RDSU.
