The National Portfolio of Research Capacity Infrastructure contracts is managed by the
NCCRCD as part of the National Research Capacity Development Programme.
| The four main types of activity supported by these contracts are |
| A Network can be described as a facility which promotes the development of R&D including |
- Providing advice on research methodology and sources of funding
- Acting as a source of advice on potential collaborative research opportunities
- Networking with local and national research networks
- Providing a focus for the dissemination of research results
Networks are usually contracted from a provider of NHS services.
