International Society for Priorities in Health Care conference: 28 - 31 October, Newcastle-Gateshead

The purpose of the Society is to provide a forum in which researchers and practitioners involved in priority setting can exchange ideas and experience. The Parkinson’s Disease Society (PDS) Progress: Advancing Parkinson’s Research: 3 - 4 November, York

The Parkinson’s disease Society (PDS) is delighted to be holding its first two-day conference dedicated to research into Parkinson’s. Through keynote presentations, plenary lectures, oral and poster sessions, the meeting will be an opportunity to bring together expertise, opinion and stimulate debate into Parkinson’s Research.  Although the conference is heavily subsidised by the PDS, all delegates will be asked to pay a nominal registration fee of £100 each. This will cover participation in the conference, accommodation and meals. There will be a limited number of bursaries to cover the £100 registration fee for PhD Students and Post Doctoral Researchers in the field of Parkinson’s. To apply for one of these, please ask for a bursary application form when requesting a registration form. INVOLVE 6th National Conference: 11 - 12 November, Nottingham

‘Public involvement in research: getting it right and making a difference'
INVOLVE’s national conference is an event for everyone who is interested in supporting and promoting public involvement in NHS, public health and social care research. This includes members of the public, service users, researchers, research commissioners and representatives of voluntary sector organisations.
This year the conference will take place over two days. We will start at lunchtime on Tuesday 11th November and finish around 4.30pm on Wednesday 12th November. There will be time to discuss, reflect, network and socialise.
