Welcome to TRIAGE. This is Trent RDSU’s gateway to hundreds of web sites containing teaching materials, tutorials, articles, and other educational tools relating to health research. This area is continually being developed and contains the RDSU’s resource packs addressing a range of research skills and processes. A total of 15 resource packs have been published, each focussing on one aspect of the research process or methodology: covering experimental design through data analysis to implementing research findings. Pdf versions of the individual packs can be downloaded from the site.

 

The site is intended to complement the courses run by the Trent RDSU but should be of interest to anyone studying, teaching or otherwise involved in health research. TRIAGE is not intended to provide links to resources on specific medical topics, only on broad subject areas.

If you are looking for material on a specific medical topic, you will not find it here. Try the medical databases SUMSearch, TRIP, and Dr's Desk. A look at the TRIAGE pages on Literature Searching and Evidence Based Medicine might help you to search more effectively.

Many of the materials available to download are in the Portable Document File (pdf) format which requires the Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you find that your computer does not already have this it is free to download from the Adobe website.
