Awards of up to £15,000 are available from Trent RDSU to support research capacity development in health and health related social care.  The awards are open to individuals, groups and organisations from health and health related social care in the Trent RDSU region*.

All applications must clearly demonstrate potential to produce a significant and sustainable increase in the ability of groups or organisations to undertake high quality research.

Please note, these awards are not intended to be used as individual research training bursaries, although training may form part of wider programmes of research capacity development.

* covering Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire.

NB: the lead applicant must have an NHS or social care contract.


The Trent RDSU contract will terminate on 31 March 2010 and, as recipients are asked to provide a report 12 months after funding has been made available, no further awards will be made after December 2008.

  • Monday 15 December 2008
